The bible is God speaking - and beer is good. Why not enjoy both at the same time? Join Pastor James and a few others who are beginning to meet at 8pm on 2nd and 4th Wednesdays at Nine Yards Brewing in Kenmore. (Next up: April 24)
Jump in anytime - questions are good - dialogue is the method.
As Martin Luther put it: "Faith must come freely without compulsion.... While I slept or drank Wittenberg beer with my friends Philip and Amsdorf, the Word (the bible) so greatly weakened the papacy that no prince...ever inflicted such losses on it. I did nothing; the Word did everything."
So let's grab a beer, and let the Word do its work in us.
God makes us family together - let's live like it! Life Group gathers for Thursday dinners most weeks (when not out serving or just having fun together) -- feel free to come, and invite whomever to join in the fun. We eat together, pray together, and learn to live on mission together as God's family of missionary servants.
For info and location email James (firstname.lastname@example.org)
Join a group of IPC guys meeting on Thursday nights at 7pm, from May 2 through June 6 (with bonus Pizza & Beer night on June 13).
They will be going through the Befriend videos by Scott Sauls -- many of us saw these during Lent, but for any who missed out, here's your chance!
For info and location, email Craig (email@example.com)
Occasional Sundays at 5:15 for food; 6:00 for prayer - on campus in the Choir Room There is power in simple prayer together. As kids do with a loving parent, we go to our good Father to be with him, talk, listen, and share our lives together. Open to everyone, just show up! Our next prayer gathering will be later this Spring
Every Wednesday at 10:00am - meets off-site
If you'd like to get connected to others and God's work in your life, this is a great opportunity to do just that. This group meets for Biblical support, building friendship, and mutual encouragement. Meets off-site. For location details, contact the church office: firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Bible was written by ordinary people using ordinary words. In about an hour you can meet with a friend or two and meaningfully engage with God's word - hearing him speak, and being changed. We have a number of these Simple Bible groups up and going, and it's easy to start more. Want to know more? Pastor James is glad to meet with anyone to experience this tool for spiritual growth. Contact him via email (email@example.com) or leave a message with the church office.
