Christian Education Programs

At Inglewood, we beleive that Christian Education is a life long process. We have many programs for all ages to meet the need for Christian education in today's complex world.

All of the prgrams at Inglewood follow these priciples.

  • To teach God's Word with excitement
  • To study the whole Bible systematically
  • To build each lesson upon specific learning objectives
  • To use a variety of the most effective teaching methods
  • To involve students actively in the learning process
  • To ensure that lessons change students' lives
  • To give special emphasis to such basic Bible doctrines as the creation of the world and man by direct act of God; the deity of Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His miracles, His atoning death, His bodily resurrection, and His return.

Sunday School Mission Project

Our Sunday School classes are again supporting Heifer International as our year-long mission project. The classes have selected their giving goals -- food-producing / income-producing animals -- toward which their weekly offering is collected to support ending world hunger. When you visit the classrooms, take a moment to see the creative charts our children and teachers have made to track their progress! For more information see Heifer International.

Children’s Spiritual Goals Memory Work The Christian Education Committee has compiled some objectives intended to create a firm foundation for the spiritual growth of the children in our programs. They are called Spiritual Goals. We have booklets of these in each classroom (just ask a teacher if you want one). Periodically, the kids are asked if they want to recite the memory work in order to chart their progress. Please feel free to help your child in this goal by working with them on the information.

VBS is Coming
Vacation Bible School, a summer school/camp for children up through 3rd grade, is slated for July. If you are interested in using your time, skills, talents in this important ministry, please contact the CE Department. If you are interested in choosing the curriculum for this, please join us at our monthly CE Committee meeting.

Teachers Wanted Teaching children in the church is a very demanding but rewarding undertaking. We are in need of more Sunday school teachers (11:15 am on Sundays) … and, Jr. Church teachers (10:00 am on Sundays). The curricula is easy to use, the peer support from other teachers is illuminating and encouraging, … helping a child to catch an image of the truth of Christ, is a priceless experience you’ll never forget. Touch the lives of children in real time! Visit our classrooms and teacher training to see how we can help you teach our children.
